Church Staff

Rev. Dr. Pamela Saturnia

Pastor

Pam has served as the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church since 2013. She also served as the Associate Pastor here from 1991-2004.  She loves this congregation. One of the most rewarding things about being a pastor for Pam is helping people to recognize and use their gifts in service to others. Once when asked if she could only preach one sermon, what would it be? She answered, “God is love and God loves you more than you can imagine.” In her free time she likes to go on walks, watch British television, and hang out with her corgi Louis.

Kayla Galoso

Office Manager

Kayla has served as the Office Manager since 2018. She likes the variety of work and the balance it allows between work and family.  She lives in Muscatine with her husband and son. In her free time she likes to go on walks, spend time with family, and travel the world.

Charles Potter

Music Director

Charles began as First Presbyterian's Music Director in January of 2022.  He also serves as an organist and directs the Bell Choir at Zion Lutheran Church, where he has served since 2008.  Prior to that, he was organist at Central Park Presbyterian in Cedar Rapids for 34 years.

Charles is a self employed piano tuner.  He was a part time reporter for the Muscatine Journal for twelve years, and before that was a reporter for KWPC radio for twelve years.

Charles enjoys running, reading, listening to public radio, and watching old movies as well as documentaries, athletic events, and especially reruns of "Gunsmoke."  He has three children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Jennifer Livermore

Faith Community Nurse

Jennifer has served as a part time Faith Community Nurse since January 2020. She has experience in Pediatric Oncology, General Pediatrics, Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant, Family Medicine, and currently works full time in Occupational Health. She has a passion for people and influencing health and wellness. During her free time she enjoys nature (walking, hiking, gardening), traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loves positive quotes and verses, and believes that laughter is the best medicine. She stays busy at home with her spouse and animal companions.

Desirae Reisen

Nursery Attendant

Desirae likes her job at first Presbyterian because she enjoys playing and doing crafts with the kids at church as well as singing with them.  She enjoys going on walks and adventures with her son, Noah, as well as playing video games, drawing, coloring, singing, and listen to music. Desirae looks forward to learning what songs the children like best.

Annalee Rocha

Nursery Attendant

Annalee likes to color with the kids and engage them in playing with toys. She also loves reading books in her spare time and hanging out with friends and family, going to events, and going out to new places. Annalee attends Muscatine Community College for nursing.

First Presbyterian Church Session

The session consists of the pastor and the elders in active service. The session is responsible for the mission and government of First Presbyterian Church.

Elders are chosen by the members of FPC. Together with the pastor, they exercise leadership, government, and discipline. Elders strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation, encourage the people in the worship and service of God, equip and renew the people for tasks within the church and for mission in the world, visit and comfort and care for the people, with special attention to the poor, the oppressed, the lonely, and those who are oppressed.
